Adults (18-64) with Medical Conditions

Adult
Adults with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes or asthma, or compromised immune systems, may face special medical challenges with their existing disease and may be more vulnerable to severe cases of the flu. This also includes people with certain types of physical and cognitive disabilities.
  • Get vaccinated for both seasonal flu and H1N1 flu. This is a high priority group for both types of flu.
  • Due to the hospitalizations and deaths that have occurred in adults with underlying health conditions from H1N1 flu, this group is now a high priority for H1N1 vaccination. For availability of vaccine for this high risk group, visit H1N1 Immunization Clinics
  • If you have one of these health conditions and you develop flu-like symptoms, contact your health care provider or seek medical care.
