The event coordinator has a vital role in assuring food safety; therefore, working closely with the health department will:

  • Identify and resolve potential public health concerns before the event
  • Ensure vendors complete their temporary food application and payment
  • Educate vendors about food safety and sanitation requirements

Food vendor meeting(s) with Health Department attendance is highly encouraged.
Event Coordinators will ensure their vendors submit the Temporary Food License Application and pay the fees at least 7 days before the event.

Applications and fees can be submitted individually or as a group to the City of Madison Clerk's Office.

Event coordinators must complete and submit the Event Information, Event Map and Event Vendor List to the Environmental Health Office 14 days prior to the event.
