WELL CHILD CLINICS

Public Health – Madison and Dane County provides physicals by Public Health Nurses for routine checkups, day care, Head Start, school (but not WIAA sport physicals), and camp.

  • For children age 2 months – 18 years who are residents of Madison and Dane County.
  • For families without health insurance or limited insurance that doesn’t cover Well Child Exams.  (Parents or legal guardians of children with  Medical Assistance should contact their HMO for these services.)
  • Services are free
  • Bring immunization records
  • Persons in need of interpretation or accommodations for a disability should call (608) 246-4516 for more information.

Check-Up May Include:
  • Nutrition and health counseling
  • Physical assessment
  • Developmental assessment
  • Dental assessment
  • Hearing and vision screening
  • Anemia screening (hemoglobin)
  • Lead screening
  • Immunizations
  • TB skin test as needed
