Current Employment Opportunities

  • LTE Public Health Field Staff (continuous). We are hiring 2 LTE Water Quality Field Staff and 2 LTE Vector Control Technicians. Water Quality Field Staff will be responsible for collection and analysis of beach water quality samples. They will also perform basic microbiological analysis on drinking water and other samples as needed. Vector Control Technicians will perform field sampling of water for mosquito larvae; identify mosquitoes in the lab and perform data entry; conduct adult mosquito surveillance and perform larval mosquito control as needed. They will also collect ticks through established protocols, identification to species, and data entry.
  • Public Health Planner - Violence Prevention Coordinator (closes 5/10/2024). The person in this position provides direction and coordination for our violence prevention Roadmap to Reducing Violence and associated violence prevention activities and initiatives. Provides leadership, coordination and support to the Madison and Dane County Violence Prevention Coalition and associated workgroups or committees. Assesses, plans, develops, implements and evaluates primary prevention and intervention strategies to address violence. This position does not typically provide direct services to the public, but rather is responsible for overall capacity building, collaboration with State and community stakeholders across multiple sectors, consultation, technical assistance, program development and evaluation, information dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based prevention strategies.
