Dane County’s COVID-19 Community Level is currently “Low”.
- How this is determined: This level is determined by the CDC, and can be low, medium, or high. Levels are calculated by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
- What this means for our county: The levels are for setting community level actions. At this level, CDC recommends a number of strategies for our county, including encouraging people to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and getting tested if they have symptoms.

- Stay up to date on vaccination, including recommended booster doses.
- Maintain ventilation improvements.
- Avoid contact with people who have suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
- Follow recommendations for isolation if you have suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
- Follow the recommendations for what to do if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19.
- If you are at high risk of getting very sick, talk with your doctor about additional prevention actions.
