Dane County’s COVID-19 Community Level is currently “Low”.

  • How this is determined: This level is determined by the CDC, and can be low, medium, or high. Levels are calculated by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
  • What this means for our county: The levels are for setting community level actions. At this level, CDC recommends a number of strategies for our county, including encouraging people to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and getting tested if they have symptoms.
